Bit of a break from postings due to other commitments. But back in business and normal posting volumes should resume.

Commentary in this blog assumes that you understand the common sense basics of life and that you make the correct choices yourself. I use the word “correct” because there are a multitude of factors that determine what is “correct” and what is right for one person may not be for another.

You do not need me to tell you the obvious. That Starbucks is more expensive than many other places, or that coffee in a thermos from home or from the office machine provides the best cost savings. I know you have that knowledge already and either use common sense tactics to save money or you choose to frequent Starbucks for reasons other than the cost of a cup of coffee.

I plan to avoid writing on base level topics and will try to focus on things slightly more complex. However, when I come across common sense items that I believe are worth linking, I shall do so.

As for Starbucks, there are reasons why selling premium priced coffee has been successful for them. Down the road we shall examine why and what lessons can be applied for investing in companies and in developing your own personal brand.
