I have written previously about inexpensive options for learning.
Here is another potentially good, and free, opportunity.
Salman Khan has developed about 1400, roughly 10 minutes in length each, YouTube tutorials on a wide variety of subjects.
I cannot provide any opinion on their usefulness, but the “free videos have drawn hundreds of thousands of views”.
I am skeptical as to whether 10 minute increments are enough to convey a complex point.
However, I do believe that this YouTube format can be an effective means of educating large numbers of individuals. I expect more of these video ideas in the future.
Considering the cost of Mr. Khan’s offering, it might be worthwhile to give it a try.
