As I have written before, you do not need to be a millionaire, with years of technical expertise, to be a successful entrepreneur.

If you have a good idea, it does not matter if you are 14 or 44.

Nor do you require significant financial capital or experience to start many enterprises.

If you have an idea with potential, but are worried about your youthfulness, inexperience, or lack of available financing, check out these entrepreneurs.

I hope they will allay any concerns you may have about yourself at this stage in your life. Unfortunately they may also make you feel old.

Entrepreneurial success is less about the experience, expertise, and funding.

It is much more about the business idea, the planning, and the entrepreneur.

The idea has to be solid and well thought out. It does not need to be cutting edge or rocket science. However, any good idea must address an open market niche whose customers want your product or service. See how this applies to the ideas in the linked article.

A proper business plan is always needed. It must contain proper strategic planning and detailed implementation for the development and roll-out of your idea. Contingency planning for mistakes or problems should always be contemplated in your business plan. If you are well prepared, your chances of success greatly improve.

Always remember; if you fail to plan, you plan to fail.

If you lack the knowledge to create and implement a business plan, do not worry. These skills can be outsourced to accountants, lawyers, and other business professionals.

Funding for most of the linked ideas was minimal in the beginning. When starting out, your capital needs should be relatively small. As the business expands, external funding may be necessary. However, if your idea is successful, raising capital is usually possible.

Finally, it is all about you, the entrepreneur.

If you want to be successful, you must believe in both your idea and yourself. You also need to develop a single-minded focus and and exhibit the necessary drive to succeed.

If you follow these three keys, you can be successful. Whether you are 14 or 44.
